Buildings renovated with healthier furnishings had significantly lower levels of the entire group of per- and polyfluoralkyl substances (PFAS) than conventionally furnished buildings.

On Thursday, the EPA publicly launched PFAS Analytic Tool, with updates to data sources and additional datasets slated to be added in the future. 

As part of EPA’s PFAS Strategic Roadmap, the Agency also proposed a rule in December 2022 to enhance PFAS reporting to TRI by eliminating an exemption for small concentrations.
