On Tuesday, the Department of the Interior announced nearly $10 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for 17 project sites.

Headquartered on the Wayne State University campus, CLEAR will focus on Detroit as the principal study site.

Shell Pipeline Company has agreed to pay a $670,000 civil penalty. Of the total payment to DEP, $479,464 will go into the commonwealth’s Clean Water Fund and $211,875 will go into the Encroachments Fund.  

The aggregate cash consideration payable in connection with the Acquisition is approximately US$1.801 billion (approximately C$2.40 billion), subject to adjustments.

Atlantic Richfield will pay $83.1 million to cover the remaining cleanup at the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County site, agreeing to pay another $48 million to the Anaconda site account in the federal Superfund program.

The $38 million privately funded project, which spans 755 acres and includes 84 distinct work elements, stands apart as the largest brownfield cleanup by area in the history of the Georgia Brownfields Program and was completed ahead of schedule.
