Layla Jones is a graduate of the Eastern Shore Community College Science Program and will be attending Virginia Tech to pursue studies in Environmental Science and Conservation. As an ESCC student, Layla has been an active member of the PTK honor society, is participating in the UVA CRC-LTER water surveys, worked with the VIMs scallop survey, completed an internship in the ESCC Aerobiology Lab, and is currently pursuing an additional research internship where she will be working with a VIMs graduate student who is studying microplastics and tire wear particles in our local restored seagrass meadows.
