Jesus is a recent graduate of the Eastern Shore Community College’s Science program, which he is utilizing as a bridge to studying Mechanical Engineering at ODU. While at ESCC Jesus was an active member of the PTK Honor Society, completed an internship with the UVA long-term ecological research station studying microbial aspects of our region’s successful seagrass restoration, and also completed a long-term internship with the ESCC Aerobiology lab where he worked on several projects including: investigating regional variation in allergen exposure, characterizing tire wear exposure in our region, and finally creating/evaluating low-cost passive air sampling methods for community use.
