Trent Key is a Global Technical Advisor for ExxonMobil Environmental and Property Solutions Company (E&PS). His current job role at ExxonMobil E&PS consists of the advancement of field-focused research, technology development, and advocacy related to contaminated site management, bioremediation, molecular biological tools (MBTs), and emerging contaminants. Additionally, he currently serves as the lead or co-lead of multi-sector or joint-industry efforts to expand the applicability and usability of MBTs to support contaminated site management through ASTM and Sediment Management Work Group (SMWG). Prior to his time at ExxonMobil, he earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) with a focus on biological processes associated with contaminant fate and treatment. He currently serves on the LSU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering External Advisory Board.
