Dr. Sumaer Kamboj is a researcher/formulations chemist from ADA technologies working on developing a PFAS(Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl substances) free fire-fighting foam capable of meeting MIL-SPEC requirements. His background includes a bachelor in chemical engineering and PhD in quantitative biosciences and engineering from Colorado School of Mines where he worked with surfactant solutions to purify compounds, run wet lab experiments, and perform molecular dynamic simulations of complex systems. He has broad intestates ranging from chemical process scale-up to bio-physical characterization of allosteric interactions within proteins. Having a background in both chemical engineering and biological systems places Dr. Sumaer Kamboj in a unique position to develop environmentally friendly alternatives to PFAS containing firefighting foams.
